In-Home Pet Nursing
Boulevard Bark is committed to protecting every animal’s right to comfort, care, and the best possible quality of life. We bring expert nursing care to your home, along with compassion and support during some of the most difficult times of a pet owner’s life. Our Licensed Veterinary Technician provides in-home animal nursing care, in coordination with your veterinarian’s recommendations. Most animals handle medical procedures better when they’re outside the stressful environment of an animal hospital or clinic. Frail or geriatric animals can be difficult to transport to the vet. Our vet tech can provide a wide variety of treatments to help keep your animals comfortable and healthy, in a calm, familiar setting.
How it Works
At your free initial consultation, we’ll discuss and assess your pet’s needs and condition to determine if our services are the right fit for you. Your pet’s well-being is our number one priority. If we for any reason feel that your pet requires care beyond the scope of our services, we will provide you with appropriate referrals. To schedule a consultation, or if you have questions about how in-home animal nursing can make your life easier, please contact us at 360-232-4215, or email info@boulevardbark.com. We will reply within 1 business day.
We cannot offer a diagnosis or medical opinion as to your pet’s condition. Our pet nursing services are not a replacement for veterinary care.
Certain procedures can be performed by a veterinary technician only with your veterinarian’s written instructions and consent. Your consultation will run more smoothly if you have a copy of your animal’s recent veterinary records, and/or written instructions from your veterinarian, available.
Every in-home pet nursing situation is unique. After your initial consultation, exact pricing will be determined based on the specific treatments, time, equipment and/or supplies needed.
In-Home Nursing: Things to Keep in Mind:
In providing mobile animal nursing, our goal is to provide competent, compassionate medical treatments and procedures to your animals in the place they feel safest–at home. We also want to support and educate you, as a pet owner, while you adjust to a pet’s new or changing needs as they experience changes in health, injuries, or aging.
Please keep in mind that:
We will only administer medications or treatments prescribed by your veterinarian and according to your veterinarian’s instructions. While some nursing services are simple procedures that don’t require a vet’s indirect supervision, other treatments can only be provided in conjunction with the written instructions and consent of your veterinarian. A Licensed Veterinary Technician is not a veterinarian, and cannot make diagnoses, prescribe medications, or perform surgery.
Services Commonly Requested for In-Home Animal Nursing:
- Administration of subcutaneous fluids or intramuscular injections
