I’m Jessica, and I’m a dedicated, passionate professional pet sitter. My love for animals drives my work, and my commitment to professionalism in the pet care industry makes it stand out. I’m certified in animal first aid and CPR through Pet Emergency Education. I have been around animals all my life (from dogs and cats, to fish, ferrets, and more!), and have extensive pet sitting experience. As a member of Pet Sitters International, I regularly pursue continuing education for professional pet sitters, ensuring that we are up to date on best practices.
The idea for Boulevard Bark came from personal experience. When I moved to Washington from Michigan, I had to leave my beloved dogs (a big dopey chocolate lab named Neil, and a sweet little lab mix named Sarah Jean) temporarily in the loving hands of my parents, Tom and Rose. I could never have left my animals, whether for a few days or a few months, without a safe, warm, and loving place to stay. The confidence I feel in knowing they’re healthy and safe is a tremendous gift. I want to gift each Boulevard Bark client with the same peace of mind, and show their animals the same love I show my own.
My work is based on my passion for helping those who can’t speak up for themselves. I want to ensure that their needs are met and their rights protected. I know how I want my own animals to be cared for. I know how it feels to have a dearly loved special-needs pet. I created Boulevard Bark because I want to see animals happy, comfortable, and loved in the moments when their owners can’t be home. And I want their owners to rest easy, knowing that their most beloved friends are in the hands of compassionate animal-care professionals.
